"I have worked in early years ever since leaving college 16 years ago. I have experience working with babies and children aged 0-5 years old. I left college in 2018 with a level 3 in Childcare qualification and went on to work full time in a nursery. Since then, I have gone on to complete my level 4, 5 & 6 in Early Years! Then in 2018 I qualified from Edge Hill University as an Early Years Teacher with a grade of Outstanding! Throughout the years I have always worked within early years; working my way up to managerial roles. In 2018, Carla and myself opened St marks Preschool and we’ve never looked back! I have two of my own children and when I’m not at preschool or at home being a Mum and wife, I enjoy going on walks and exploring locations such as the Lake District!”

I have worked as an early years practitioner, and worked my way up to a managerial role. I also have experience working within the foundation stage of a school, where I worked with children in Pre-school and reception. It was within the school that I found a passion and a skill for teaching phonics! Which led me to create and implement St. Mark's sessions of phonics for our three/four year olds, and also support our younger children develop their early literacy skills. I am a very creative person and use this skill to create fun and stimulating activities and an environment to help children develop and reach their full potential! I am very passionate about offering the highest standard of learning, care and teaching to each child and enjoy watching them meeting their potential! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. In September 2024 I will be absent from preschool for a short time while I go on maternity leave to have my first baby girl."

"I have worked in childcare for over 5 years. I began in 2018 when I left school and headed to college to complete level 3 in childcare and development. After 6 month of college I decided that I wanted to learn on the job so I started my apprenticeship in a nursery at the start of 2019. Over my 4 years of experience I have worked with children from a range of ages starting from 6 months up to 5 years. From this, I have lots of experience within the different age ranges and I can adapt and develop activities to suit the children’s abilities and stage of development. In July 2020 I qualified with and achieved my NVQ level 3. From then,  I went on to be room leader in a busy toddler room. I have always been interested in working with children since being young, I have a big family and grew up around my nieces and nephews, always offering to help look after them. In February 2023, I joined the St Mark's team and I am loving it!  In my spare time I enjoy going for walks with my dog Frank and spending time with my friends doing things such as going to the beach.
