Safeguarding / Information Sharing Procedures

At St Marks Preschool, safeguarding children is our highest priority. Parents/carers are asked to tell us about any existing bumps, bruises or injuries before their child starts the session so an Incoming Injury Form can be completed. Any accident or injury that happens at preschool is recorded, including what happened, any first aid given and the action taken, and parents/carers will be informed and asked to sign the record. If a member of staff has any concern about a child’s welfare or believes a child may be at risk of harm, this must be reported immediately to our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Carla Brady. Information will be treated sensitively but may be shared with St Helens Children’s Services or other appropriate safeguarding professionals where this is necessary to protect a child. We will always put the safety and welfare of the child first.
