Admissions

At St Marks Preschool, we welcome families to visit us before applying for a place so they can meet the team, look around the setting and discuss their child’s individual needs. Once registration information has been completed, children are offered places according to availability, age and their individual circumstances, or added to our waiting list if a place is not yet available. We recognise that starting preschool is a big step and every child settles at their own pace. We usually offer a minimum of three settling-in sessions, with a parent/carer staying for the first session to meet the key person, share important information and complete any outstanding paperwork. Parents/carers are normally encouraged to leave their child for the following sessions, but additional settling-in visits can be arranged where needed. Our aim is to help every child feel safe, secure, happy and confident before beginning their regular sessions.
