Space Themed Day!
Following our children’s interests is one of the biggest parts of our teaching at preschool! Recently, some of our children have shown a keen interest in space, so we decided to follow their curiosity and enjoy our very own space-themed day! 🚀
Throughout the day, we explored and learnt all about space, introduced the children to the different planets and enjoyed lots of fun, hands-on activities. We got creative making our very own rockets, enhanced our playdough station with “5 Little Men in a Flying Saucer”, and even enjoyed our own moon-walking session! During our moon walk, we learnt all about Neil Armstrong and talked about what it might have been like to walk on the moon for the very first time! The children were completely engaged, asking questions, exploring new ideas and learning through something that had genuinely captured their interest. At St Marks Preschool, we believe some of the very best learning happens when we listen to our children, follow their interests and turn their curiosity into exciting experiences.
